This page includes a collection of cycle routes around Cheshire West; predominantly utilising sections of the Cheshire Cycleway where appropriate.

In comparison to the eastern side of Cheshire, most of Cheshire West is flat. There is however the Mid-Cheshire Ridge running from north to south that adds some elevation to the routes; but as such the associated climbs only reach "Blue" classification.

From the hotel, the route goes around the mini-loop at Tilston and then heads up to Duckington and on to Bickerton; here the route leaves the Cheshire Cycleway and joins National Cycle Route 45 to follow Bickerton Road. Just before you reach the Llangollen Canal, the route re-joins the Cheshire Cycleway and continues alongside the canal. The final part of the ride includes a gradual 8km descent to reach the Welsh border, before crossing back into Cheshire and passing through Shocklach and Tilston to return to the hotel.

The route picks up the Cheshire Cycleway along Stage 5 and heads towards Chester to join the start of the Millennium Greenway near Mickle Trafford. The following 14km are along the traffic-free Millennium Greenway, which is then followed by a further 6km traffic-free along route 568. From Neston, the route follows Stage 6 along the Wirral Way, skirts Ellesmere Port and then joins the canal towpath for 4km. After a series of country lanes, you pass Manley Mere to climb up Manley Lane and skirt the south west corner of Delamere Forest, leaving the Cheshire Cycleway to complete the loop. The final 15km (9.4 miles) are mainly uphill as you ascend the Mid-Cheshire Ridge before returning to the hotel.
