This book is an updated version of "Riding the Cheshire Cycleway 2018". Based on reader-feedback, the maps are much bigger and there are additional local maps for more complicated parts of the route with several junctions to negotiate. The layout has been improved and updates made regarding pubs and cafes since 2018.

The Cheshire Cycleway is a 283km (176 miles) way-marked circular route around the county of Cheshire, which covers a wide variety of terrain ranging from steep climbs in the Peak District, through a network of quiet country lanes across to the Wirral Peninsula.

The key benefit of a circular route is being able to join at any point that is convenient, therefore far easier to organise than an "end-to-end" route)!

There is also a website by Alec & Val Scaresbrook (authors of the 1996 version of The Cheshire Cycleway guide book) that provides a wealth of information on this route:

This book divides the route into eight stages, each with start/finish points in towns or at specific cafés. The stages also have short-cut options, so enabling a pick-and-mix approach to planning your ride. The shortest combination is 179km (111 miles) and the longest is 287km (179 miles).
